Chemical-physical characterization of the materials

Our team carries out experimental work for determination of specific chemical-physical properties of the materials and some examples are reported as follows:

 

  • high temperature compounding of polymers, inorganic fillers and additives;

  • evaluation of flame retardant properties of the materials (and finished products) by application of international standards and explorative tests:

  • mechanical, rheological, thermal and spectroscopic characterization of the materials;

  • determination of the electric and dielectric properties of insulant and semiconductor polymers;

  • accelerated thermal ageing of materials (with and without radiation);

  • resistance test to solvents, hydrocarbon (aliphatic and aromatic), water solutions at low and high temperature;

  • morphological analysis by using optic and electron microscope (SEM).
